After a long break....

Thu Jan 11, 2007, 5:00 PM
....I finally have the chance to post again. I'm now teaching and working on my MFA at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville Tenn. It's quite a workload and keeps me busy, but it feels like it was the right decision and is going to be a great experience. My recent work has developed into an exploration of societies treatment of natures and the inherent need to control it. False and artificial natures seem to be the by-product of this need and the source of my recent work. I am particularly interested in the works of Roxy Payne and Keith Edmier.

i'm impressed. finally, by another sculptor. I've been wanting to do resin casting, but have no idea where to start. i've finally just switched back over to ceramics, b/c thats what i know..or what i've been told i know best. oh well. so i'd like to hear your take on resin, cost, effeciency, durability, etc. take care.
